We’ll be getting together in Chicago next week for our fall group meeting. I hate to scoop the agenda book, but I don’t mind sharing a few tidbits now:

  • Go mobile! All the meeting information you need is on a new app, powered by Guidebook. Get schedules, speakers, continuing medical education information and more – right on your smartphone. Visit to download.

  • Are you still relatively old school and just want to plan online? It’s all right! Find the schedule of events and a complete agenda book by clicking this link.

  • As always, we’ve got top-drawer speakers. A few examples: Dr. Luis Diaz, internationally recognized for his work in cancer genetics and immune-oncology, is presenting on liquid biopsies at the translational medicine plenary. And Dr. Larry Chu and Alicia Staley of Stanford Medicine X will present on our 2017 theme of innovation at the general plenary.

  • We have a handful of special sessions planned, including our 3rd annual NCORP workshop, a seminar on cultural competency and clinical trials, and a screening of a brand-new documentary film on teens and young adults coping with cancer.

  • Don’t forget Friday’s closing reception – the place to meet up with friends and colleagues across the group and enjoy free drinks and food.

  • If you Tweet the meeting, please use #SWOGonc as your hashtag. That way, we can search for your tweets and pull together a compilation from Chicago.

Looking forward to seeing you!

We’ll skip Front Line next week due to group meeting, and be back on October 20.

SWOG's new website launches in November, and you'll need to be sure you have proper credentials to log-in. Check for details.
