LUNGMAP Protocol-Specific Requirement for Training

With the distribution of LUNGMAP Revision 9 on 10/15/2024, the LUNGMAP Required Site Initiation Training (LUNGMAP Protocol Section 13.2**) has been migrated to the CTSU CLASS learning management system.
  • At least one research professional from each participating site must complete the LUNGMAP Required Site Initiation Training using the online interactive training module through the Compliance, Learning, and SOP Solutions (CLASS) website (hyperlink) below in order for the site to receive CTSU approval to register participants to LUNGMAP.
  • Anyone with an Active CTEP registration status will be able to access the SWOG: LUNGMAP Required Site Initiation Training course in the CTSU CLASS learning management system.
To access the Required LUNGMAP Site Initiation Training in CLASS:
  • Go to: https://www.ctsu.org/PassThroughManager.aspx?mode=classlms&courseid=1825a4e4-bdec-458a-8946-9d346f7c6239
  • Login with the credentials necessary to access secure NCI/CTSU IT systems.
  • Start the course.
  • When all elements of the training course are completed (presentation video review, slide set review, and course content acknowledgment), “Completed” status will be displayed.
  • After the first research professional from the participating site has completed the LUNGMAP Required Site Initiation Training, the protocol-specific requirement for completion of the training course will be automatically fulfilled within the CTSU Regulatory Support System (RSS), and if all other regulatory requirements have also been satisfied, the participating site status will be approved for patient registration. (With the migration of the training to CLASS, it is no longer necessary to submit a verification form to CTSU).
  • The participating site is responsible for ensuring that all research staff (investigators and research support staff responsible for conduct of the LUNGMAP protocol at the participating site) receive the same training.
  • For questions regarding accessing the training module in CLASS, contact the CLASS Help Desk at: CLASSHelpDesk@westat.com.

** Note: LUNGMAP Protocol Section 13.2 will be updated with a forthcoming revision to reflect the migration of the required training to CLASS.

Verification Form for Site Utilization – Documentation of Staff attendance at Optional LUNGMAP Training Meetings and Webinars

For the above training courses in CLASS:
  • Certificates of completion can be accessed and downloaded via CLASS. After completion of all required components of the online training course, a “Certificate of Completion” will be accessible via a link in the bottom panel of the course screen (if either the “Combined” or “Details” views is selected).
  • Subsequently, certificates of completion are also accessible for download by the learner via the CLASS “Transcript”. To view the training completion transcript (for all training courses in CLASS) from the CLASS Dashboard (https://classlms.org/#/dashboard): Click on the hamburger icon (3 lines at top right of the CLASS LMS screen), then click on Transcript, which will display a list of all Courses to which the user has enrolled, with the enrollment and completion dates for each course.
For the S1900E Optional Training or Attendance at Optional Lung-MAP Training Meetings or Webinars:
  • SWOG no longer provides certificates of attendance for optional training meetings or webinars.
  • Participating sites that require local documentation of training attendance for regulatory or institutional purposes may complete and print a copy of the verification form below, including a description of the training activity in the "Comments" section of the form.
  • Note: All Required Site Initiation Training for LUNGMAP and Lung-MAP substudies (where applicable) must be completed in CLASS in order to fulfill site requirements to enroll participants to the study(ies).
By entering my information below, I am certifying the following:
  • I have either completed the Lung-MAP training (available from the links above) or I have attended the in-person or virtual LUNGMAP (or Lung-MAP substudy) training activity, as indicated (Activity description and Date) in the comments section of the form below.
  • The above information will be provided to all investigators and research support staff responsible for conduct of the Lung-MAP research protocol and substudy(ies) at the participating site indicated in the verification form below.
