Three 2017 Coltman Fellows Announced

Early Career

Two early career Coltman Fellows:

Mina Sedrak, MD, MS (above), of City of Hope, has been funded to support his research project, Mixed Methods Assessment of Social Media Use among SWOG Researchers.

Timur Mitin, MD, PhD, of Oregon Health & Science University will pursue his project, A Phase II Randomized Study of Pembrolizumab with Hypofractionated (60 Gy in 15 fractions) vs Conventional Fractionated (60 Gy in 30 fractions) Thoracic Radiotherapy in Patients with Inoperable Stage II/III Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).

Mid-Career

One mid-career Coltman Fellow:

Paul Barr, MD (right), of the University of Rochester, has been funded to support his project entitled S1608: Characterization and Management of High-Risk Follicular Lymphoma.

SWOG institutions may nominate up to two candidates annually. This program funds investigators in various stages of research career development at current SWOG-affiliated institutions. The early career fellowship focuses on mentorship and protected time, while the mid-career fellowship aims to contribute to and enhance a research career currently underway.
