The SWOG Biospecimen Bank, located at the Biopathology Center (BPC) at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital, will be relocated to a new facility.

Beginning October 7, 2024, please send all packages for the SWOG Biospecimen Bank (Lab #200 and Lab #201) to the new address indicated in the SWOG Specimen Tracking System.

New Facility Highlights

This facility was designed specifically for the BPC’s biobanking and laboratory operations – consolidating from 5 different buildings to one, allowing for increased functionality and efficiency.

The new facility boasts a streamlined and modernized laboratory and biorepository in a 55,000 square foot building with an additional 5,300 sq ft of shelled space to allow for future growth. More than 20,000 square feet will be added to our current footprint.

Located approximately 15 minutes from Nationwide Children’s main campus in the Hilliard suburb, the SWOG Biospecimen Bank will continue to have close partnerships with related departments, including the Department of Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Institute for Genomic Medicine, and others.

The SWOG Biospecimen Bank Solid Tissue, Myeloma & Lymphoma Division (Lab #201) and Leukemia Division (Lab #200) will be located together and share one address.

Notes:

  • As of 10/7/2024, all packages that are shipped to Lab 200 and Lab 201 must be shipped to the new address.
  • The SWOG Bank address in the SWOG Specimen Tracking System will be updated with the correct address when the BPC has moved. To ensure you are sending to the correct address, refer to the address listed on the Packing List when shipping specimens to the SWOG Biospecimen Bank. The address in protocols will not be updated unless the protocol is amended, so do not rely on the address in the protocol when shipping biospecimens.
  • If kits are provided by the SWOG Biospecimen Bank, this address will also be updated to the new address for all shipping labels printed from the Kit Management application by 10/7/2024. Do not use the address included in the kit instructions.
  • Other contact information (phone numbers, email addresses) will not change at this time.
