Health & Safety at SWOG Group Meeting

Individual Accountability
SWOG is committed to maintaining the health and safety of all meeting attendees. We are following the latest COVID-19 developments, Chicago city mandates, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, as well as industry best practices.
By attending the SWOG Fall 2022 Hybrid Group Meeting, you are confirming that you:
- Are fully vaccinated (as defined below, including required booster)
- Are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 as identified at CDC.gov
- Are not under any self-quarantine orders
- Acknowledge and will abide by all applicable regulations and health and safety protocols
Failure to provide proof of vaccination with booster will result in the attendee being unable to participate in the SWOG conference in person. In such circumstances, SWOG will not refund any fees paid to travel to the meeting or hotel fees.
If you find you need to take a COVID-19 test while onsite, tests will be available at the SWOG registration desk.
Vaccination Requirements
In keeping with best practices at meetings of medical professionals, all attendees at group meeting are required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. "Full COVID-19 vaccination" means a baseline FDA- or WHO-authorized two-dose or one-dose vaccine series was received, as well as at least one booster. Additionally, at least 6 days must have passed since you received a booster shot. Details for international travelers are available on the CDC website.
We strongly encourage attendees to get the newly updated COVID-19 booster, which better protects against the most recently circulating variant (see CDC recommendation).
The following are approved forms of vaccine verification:
- A CDC vaccine card or photo of vaccine card
- Documented proof of vaccination from medical record or vaccine provider
- Proof of vaccination from your state or county
- Printed certificate or digital record from MyIRMobile.com (available in several states) or other apps
- QR code or digital copy of your COVID-19 vaccination record
If you cannot or choose not to comply with the mandate, or if you are unable to travel to the meeting, please join us online for live-streamed sessions.
Face Masks
Chicago has lifted its mask mandate. Nonetheless, SWOG strongly encourages all in-person attendees at the group meeting to wear masks in indoor public spaces unless eating, drinking, or presenting. When removing your mask to eat or drink, please consider the comfort of those around you.
COVID Tests
We will not be distributing COVID tests to all attendees, however SWOG will have some rapid test kits available at the registration desk, for any attendees that might need one during the group meeting.
